The year was 1962.

The Cuban Missile Crisis begins and ends, Johnny Carson takes over as host of The Tonight Show, Marilyn Monroe dies of a drug over dose, Lt. Col John Glenn is the first American to orbit earth, and 1st Tour & Travel opens its doors.

Several years later 1st Tour & Travel is spun off and sold by the 1st National Bank of Grand Island.
1st Tour & Travel is renamed First Holiday Tour & Travel. In 1980 Richard L. Brown decides to leave the dairy business and, purchased First Holiday Tour & Travel. The tradition begins.

More than 40 years later First Holiday Tour & Travel Inc. is Central Nebraska’s premier travel agency, and still growing. First Holiday’s sister companies include,
